Sealed sensor enclosure (S / M / L), O-ring lid
A three-size family of project boxes for outdoor sensor nodes: soil moisture, tank level, flood and weather. The flat lid screws down onto an O-ring face seal, the four M3 insert lobes sit outside the seal line so no screw passes into the sealed space, and the ports take PG7 cable glands. Size M fits the RAK WisBlock Base RAK19007 and size L fits the LilyGO T-Beam. Size S, with a snap-in cradle for the Espressif ESP32-DevKitC V4, is available to order after fit check.
From A$36 for the size M, box + lid. Printed to order in Melbourne and shipped Australia-wide; we confirm the final price and lead time before anything is printed.

Order status. Size S is available to order after fit check: we are confirming the board-edge fit on a test print first.
What does it look like in use?
Renders are computer images of our own design, made from the same model we print. Photos of real prints will be added after the first production run.

Who it's for
Makers and start-ups building LoRa or ESP32 field sensors, and councils or ag-tech pilots that need a few dozen weatherproof-style nodes without paying for an injection mould.
Safety & use
Installation & use. Designed for the uses described on this page only. Fixings are not included: use the sizes listed, check they are tight before use, and check the parts regularly for wear or damage. Not for safety-critical or overhead load-bearing use. Damage caused by misuse, modification or overloading is not covered.
Electronics. This is a plastic enclosure with no electrical function. Boards, batteries, panels, cables and antennas are your own: fit and use them to their makers' instructions.
Sealing. The lid is designed for an O-ring face seal. It has not been tested to an IP rating, so do not rely on it where water getting in would be dangerous or costly.
This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Is the enclosure waterproof?
It is designed for an O-ring face seal, with the lid screws outside the seal line and gland ports for the cables. It has not been tested to an IP rating, so we do not claim one.
Which boards does it fit?
Size M has standoffs that fit the RAK WisBlock Base RAK19007, and size L fits the LilyGO T-Beam. Size S has a snap-in cradle that fits the Espressif ESP32-DevKitC V4 and is available to order after fit check. Other boards: send us the board size and hole pattern.
What hardware do I need?
Hardware is not included. Each box takes 4 M3 heat-set inserts, 4 M3 x 10 countersunk screws, one O-ring (AS568 -037, -042 or -047 by size) and PG7 cable glands, plus M2.5 or M2 self-tapping screws for the board in M and L.
Which material should I choose?
ASA for anything outdoors, because it handles UV and weather; black is best in the sun. PETG is fine indoors.
Can you change the ports or size?
Yes. The design is parametric, so port positions, sizes and board mounts can be changed for your board. Send an enquiry with the board and the ports you need.
