NFC counter stand variants: tap-to-follow, payment-link and sign / card display holder
Customers hold a phone near the stand and the link stored on its chip opens in the phone's browser. No app is needed. This page has three more tops for our NFC counter stand base. The tap-to-follow plate opens your social profile or a follow page. The payment-link plate opens your own payment page, such as an invoice, deposit or tip page; the customer pays on that page. The display holder is a 96 x 130 mm sign plate that holds a business card or an A7 card on a front ledge, and its chip reads through the card. Every plate has a 25 mm NFC chip sealed inside the print, which we program with your link before shipping. The plates swap into any of our stand bases. Printed to order in PLA in our Melbourne workshop.
From A$12.95 for the extra tap-to-follow or payment-link plate, chip programmed. Printed to order in Melbourne and shipped Australia-wide; we confirm the final price and lead time before anything is printed.
On the quote page choose Request a quote (no file needed) and name this part and the option you want.

What does it look like in use?
Renders are computer images of our own design, made from the same model we print. This family is made to order: real photos of our first prints are coming.

Who it's for
Cafes, salons, market stalls and shops that want a second tap point on the counter: follow us for social growth, a payment link for invoices, deposits or tips (handy for mobile trades and stallholders), and a holder for a menu card, offer or business card by the register.
Safety & use
Use. Each plate contains a small NFC chip sealed inside. Not a toy: keep plates and loose cards away from young children. The chip only opens the one web link we program, and we can program a new plate if your link changes.
Payment link. The payment-link stand is not a card reader or payment terminal and doesn't handle money. It only opens the web page you give us. Payments are made on that page under its own terms, and you are responsible for the page and the link. Damage caused by misuse or modification isn't a fault in the product.
This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
What does a tap-to-follow NFC stand do?
It opens your social profile or follow page on the customer's phone. A 25 mm NFC chip inside the plate stores the link. When someone holds a phone with NFC turned on near the plate, the link opens in the browser, and the customer can follow you from there. No app is needed.
Can customers pay by tapping the payment-link stand?
Not by card on the stand. The stand is not a card reader. Its chip opens your own payment page, such as an invoice, deposit, booking or tip page from the provider you already use, and the customer pays on that page in their browser. Give us the exact link when you order.
What does the counter display holder hold?
A business card (85-90 x 55 mm), an A7 card (74 x 105 mm) or any card up to 92 mm wide and 1 mm thick. The card slides down the 96 x 130 mm plate into a ledge with a lip and leans back on the 20 degree plate. It also has a sealed NFC chip behind the card, under a small tap icon, so the card can say what the tap opens.
Do the plates fit the tap-to-review stand base?
Yes. All plates use the same 96 x 54 mm base and wedge slot as our tap-to-review stand. Each plate slides in and is held by friction, so you can swap the follow, payment-link, review and display plates on one base.
Is the NFC chip included and programmed?
Yes. Every plate has a 25 mm NTAG213 chip sealed inside, and we program it with your web link (a URL record, which phones open automatically) before shipping. To change the link later, order an extra plate with the new link.
How do I order?
