Type 2 EV charger plug holster with rain hood + cable dock

A tidy home for a tethered wallbox cable or a portable charger lead. The holster holds the plug by its nose in a 64 mm cup with a rain hood above it and a drain notch below; the dock is a J-hook for the coiled cable. Both screw to the wall with four countersunk holes. Fits standard Type 2 plugs: the cup is sized for the common 63 mm nose and the plug's 70 mm collar rests on the rim, so a smaller nose simply sits a little looser. Send us your plug's nose size if unsure and we size the cup to it. Holster and organiser only: no electrical function, and it does not lock the plug. Printed to order in PETG (under cover) or ASA (outdoor, UV-stable) in our Melbourne workshop.

Who it's for

EV owners with a home wallbox or a tethered cable, strata and fleet car parks, and electricians or installers who hand over a tidy install.

Safety & use

Installation & use. Designed for the uses described on this page only. Fixings are not included: use the sizes listed, check they are tight before use, and check the parts regularly for wear or damage. Not for safety-critical or overhead load-bearing use. Damage caused by misuse, modification or overloading isn't a fault in the product.

EV charging. This is a holster and cable organiser with no electrical function. Follow your charger maker's instructions for charging, never use a damaged plug or cable, and keep the plug out of standing water. Mount it into fixings suited to the wall and check the screws now and then.

Outdoors. Choose ASA for walls in direct sun; PETG is for covered positions. Printed plastic is not fire-rated: keep it clear of heat sources.

FAQ

Common questions

Will it fit my plug?

It fits standard IEC 62196-2 Type 2 vehicle connectors, the plug on every AC wallbox and portable charger sold in Australia and Europe. The cup is sized for a 63 mm nose with half a millimetre of clearance; the plug's 70 mm collar rests on the rim, so a smaller nose still sits fine, just a little looser. If you are unsure, send us your plug's nose measurement or ask for the free fit-test rings and we size the cup to match.

PETG or ASA?

PETG for a garage or a covered carport. ASA for a wall in direct sun: it is UV-stable and does not go brittle or yellow. ASA costs more because the filament does, and it is printed in an enclosed printer.

Does it lock the plug or do anything electrical?

No. It holds the plug by its nose under a rain hood and keeps the cable off the floor. There are no electrical parts and no lock. Charging stays exactly as your charger maker intended.

What screws do I need?

Four 4-5 mm screws for the holster and two for the dock, with wall plugs or anchors suited to your wall. Fixings are not included because every wall is different; the holes are countersunk.

Can you change the size or colour?

Yes. The cup diameter, plate size and hood depth are parameters in our model, and any filament colour we stock can be used. Custom nose sizes are no extra charge.

How do I order?

Use Get a quote and choose Request a quote, naming the option (dock, holster or set) and PETG or ASA. We confirm the price and lead time before anything is printed.
