ASA tube-mount pack: drone skid feet, swivel rail rod holder and cable hanger clips
Three UV-stable ASA parts that clamp onto round tube, sold by tube size. The landing-pad foot is an end cap for 16, 20 or 25 mm spray-drone skid tubes: a wide grooved sole stops the skid ends digging in and keeps mud out of the tube, and one M4 screw clamps it on. The swivel rod holder clamps to a 22, 25 or 32 mm boat rail with two M6 bolts and tilts on a serrated joint that locks in 15 degree steps, from upright to horizontal. The cable hanger clips snap onto 20, 25 or 32 mm conduit or pipe and carry light cables in a hook underneath, and a wire version hangs from 10 mm catenary wire. Printed to order in our Melbourne workshop; screws and bolts are not included.
From A$8 for the single cable hanger clip. Printed to order in Melbourne and shipped Australia-wide; we confirm the final price and lead time before anything is printed.

Order status. Feet and clips are made to order now. The rod holder is made after a quick rod-butt check: rod butts are not a standard size, so tell us your butt diameter (or check it on the gauge card) and we print the 38, 42 or 46 mm rod tube to suit. Everything is sold by tube size: we do not claim a fit to any particular drone, boat or rod model.
What does it look like in use?
Renders are computer images of our own design, made from the same model we print. This family is made to order: real photos of our first prints are coming.

Who it's for
Ag spray-drone operators and drone workshops (feet), small-boat, tinnie and charter owners adding rod positions to an existing rail (rod holder), and mine-site, plant and workshop maintenance crews tidying light cables along conduit, handrail pipe or wire (clips).
Safety & use
Installation & use. Designed for the uses described on this page only. Fixings are not included: use the sizes listed, check they are tight before use, and check the parts regularly for wear or damage. Not for safety-critical or overhead load-bearing use. Damage caused by misuse, modification or overloading isn't a fault in the product.
Drone feet: not an aircraft part. Not a certified or approved aircraft part, and not made, approved or endorsed by any drone maker. The feet are end caps on the landing skids and nothing here is in the flight-critical path. Keep them clear of landing and terrain sensors, re-check the aircraft's balance (about 31 g per foot on a 20 mm skid) and check the M4 screw before every flying day. The operator stays responsible for airworthiness and CASA obligations.
Rod holder: load-bearing, always use a rod leash. It is not load-rated and we have not load-tested it. Check the M6 and M8 bolts before each trip, and replace the holder if it is cracked, crazed or chalky. Not for heavy game, trolling big fish on locked drag, or anything a person leans or steps on.
Cable clips: non-structural, light cables only (comms, lighting, instrument and air lines). Not for trailing power cables, heavy loads or anything overhead that could fall on a person. ASA is not fire-resistant anti-static (FRAS) or Ex-rated: not for underground coal mines or hazardous areas.
Outdoors and chemicals. ASA is UV-stable but not rated for chemical service. Rinse off spray chemicals and salt water, and replace any part that is cracked, crazed, swollen or sticky.
This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Which drones do the landing-pad feet fit?
Any landing skid made from round tube of 16, 20 or 25 mm outside diameter. The foot slides 40 mm over the open end of the skid and one M4 screw clamps it on. We sell them by tube size and do not claim a fit to any particular aircraft, so measure your skid (or use the gauge card) and order that size. Four feet do one aircraft.
Are the feet a structural part of the landing gear?
No. They are end caps with a wide sole: the skid still carries the aircraft and nothing here is in the flight-critical path. Each foot adds about 31 g on a 20 mm skid, so re-check the balance and keep the feet clear of landing and terrain sensors.
Which rails does the rod holder fit?
Round rails of 22, 25 or 32 mm, which covers the common 7/8, 1 and 1 1/4 inch stainless marine tube. The clamp has two halves, so it goes onto a rail that is already fixed at both ends, and two M6 bolts close it.
How does the swivel work?
The rod tube sits on a 24-tooth serrated joint on an M8 cap screw that runs along the rail. Loosen the screw with a 6 mm hex key, lift the tube a few millimetres, turn it and re-tighten. It locks every 15 degrees, from just past upright to horizontal and beyond. Turn the clamp round on the rail to choose which side the rod leans.
Will my rod fit the rod holder?
The standard tube has a 42 mm bore with a cross-bar at the bottom for a gimbal butt. Rod butts are not a standard size, so we also make 38 and 46 mm tubes. Check your butt on the gauge card holes, or tell us the diameter, and we print the right tube.
How strong is the rod holder?
It is printed in ASA with 5 walls and 30 % infill, but it is not load-rated and we have not load-tested it. Always use a rod leash, and do not use it for heavy game or trolling big fish on locked drag.
What can the cable hanger clips carry?
Light cables only: comms, lighting, instrument cables and air lines in a bundle up to about 24 mm, held in a hook under the clip. A cable tie closes the hook. They snap onto 20, 25 or 32 mm conduit or pipe, and the wire version hooks over 10 mm wire or mesh. They are not for trailing power cables or heavy loads.
Can the clips be used underground?
Not in underground coal mines or hazardous areas: ASA is not fire-resistant anti-static (FRAS) or Ex-rated. They suit surface sites, processing plants and workshops.
How do I order?
Use Get a quote and choose Request a quote. Name the parts, the tube or rail sizes, the quantity and, for the rod holder, your rod butt diameter. We confirm the price and lead time before anything is printed.
