Farm-IoT sensor box mounts: pole clamp (30-50 mm), 35 mm DIN-rail clip, ground stake, tilting solar-panel bracket, antenna mast and gland lid

Mounting accessories for outdoor LoRa and ESP32 sensor nodes, built around our sealed sensor enclosure (size M). Every piece uses the same four-hole M3 pattern as the bracket inserts under the box, so they combine. Clamp the box to a 30-50 mm round pole, clip it onto a 35 mm top-hat DIN rail, or stand it on a ground stake in a paddock. Then add a solar-panel tray that tilts to 0, 20, 40 or 60 degrees, an antenna mast with an SMA bulkhead hole, or a drop-in lid with four PG7 gland holes. Printed to order in UV-resistant ASA in our Melbourne workshop.

Grey sensor enclosures mounted three ways: on a metal pole with a gland lid, a tilted blue solar panel and an antenna mast above; on a ground stake in soil; and clipped to a DIN rail on a wooden backboard
Studio render: made to order, real photos coming: box with the gland lid on a pole clamp, solar bracket at 40 degrees and antenna mast on the same pole; a box on the ground stake; a box on a DIN rail. Pole, panel, antenna, rail and board are plain stand-ins.

Order status. The pole clamp, DIN-rail plate, stake, solar base, antenna mast and gland lid can be ordered now. The solar tray is made to your panel's size: send the panel's length, width and thickness, and we print a 5 g corner coupon first so you can check the fit.

What does it look like in use?

Renders are computer images of our own design, made from the same model we print. This family is made to order: real photos of our first prints are coming.

Who it's for

Farms, councils, agtech pilots, schools and makers deploying LoRa or ESP32 soil-moisture, tank-level, weather or flood sensors who need the node on a fence pipe, in a paddock or in a pump-shed cabinet, without zip ties.

Safety & use

Installation & use. Designed for the uses described on this page only. Fixings are not included: use the sizes listed, check they are tight before use, and check the parts regularly for wear or damage. Not for safety-critical or overhead load-bearing use. Damage caused by misuse, modification or overloading isn't a fault in the product.

Outdoors. ASA holds up to sun much better than PETG or PLA, but any printed plastic ages outdoors: check clamps, stakes and brackets each season and replace a part that turns chalky, cracked or loose. Keep panels small (1-3 W class) and antennas light, and don't hang anything else from them. No IP rating is claimed and wind loads are not tested.

Electrical. These are plastic mounting parts with no electrical function. They are not fire-rated or electrical-rated. Mounting anything in a switchboard, or wiring mains-powered equipment, must be done by a licensed electrician in Australia.

This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

FAQ

Common questions

Which enclosures do these accessories fit?

They are made for our sealed sensor enclosure, size M. They screw to the four M3 bracket inserts under the box with M3 x 10 countersunk screws. The solar bracket and antenna mast have the same four inserts, so they mount on the same pole clamp, stake or DIN plate. Sizes S and L can be made on request.

What pole sizes does the clamp fit?

Round poles from 30 to 50 mm outside diameter, including 33.7, 42.4 and 48.3 mm steel pipe and 48.3 mm scaffold tube. A square post fits corner-in. Four M5 bolts pull the two V-jaws together. Use M5 x 60 for 33.7 mm, M5 x 70 for 42.4 mm and M5 x 80 for 48.3 mm.

Will it clip onto my DIN rail?

Yes, if it is the common 35 mm top-hat rail to EN 60715, 7.5 mm deep with a 1 mm brim. Hook the top edge on, press the bottom until the latch clicks, and lever the pull bar with a flat screwdriver to take it off. The 15 mm-deep rails with 1.5 or 2.3 mm brims need a different hook gap, which we can make on request.

What angle should I set the solar panel to?

The tray locks at 0, 20, 40 or 60 degrees. In Melbourne, 40 degrees facing north is close to the latitude angle and a good all-year setting. Use 60 degrees for the most winter sun. The tray is made to your panel's size, and we print a small corner coupon first so you can check the fit.

Which antennas fit the mast?

Any antenna on an SMA or RP-SMA bulkhead connector. The 6.5 mm hole in the 3 mm top wall takes the bulkhead, and its panel nut tightens on the outside. The pigtail runs down a 10 mm channel inside the mast and into the box through a PG7 gland. The connector, pigtail and antenna are not included.

Are they waterproof and UV resistant?

They are printed in ASA, which handles sun and rain much better than PLA or PETG. The gland lid keeps the enclosure's O-ring face seal. We do not claim an IP rating. Check outdoor parts each season and replace any that turn chalky or loose.

How do I order?

Use Get a quote and choose Request a quote, naming the accessories, quantity and colour, plus your pole size or panel size if you need them. We confirm the price and lead time before anything is printed. Fleet kits of 10 or more are quoted per job.
